Join PCC in Celebrating Musical Favorites from Stage and Screen

Get ready for an exhilarating evening of music and magic as PCC presents a dynamic showcase of song and dance from beloved movies and plays. The performance will open with a musical “scrapbook” showcasing a journey through the 35-year history of PCC, setting the stage for a night filled with vibrant storytelling.
“As we wrap up PCC’s 35th season, we wanted to revisit our favorite songs selected from the past three decades,” Alex Gartner, Artistic & Executive Director, said. “Audience members will get to experience some of the best moments on the Showtime stage in a display that is sure to be nostalgic for returning members and something truly memorable for those experiencing it for the first time.”
Prepare to be swept away by a celebration of songs that capture the sheer joy of music itself, spanning a diverse range of styles and genres. Let PCC’s youngest singers mesmerize you as they bring nursery rhymes to life with a creative and unexpected twist. Be transported under the big top with a set of songs inspired by the circus. Then, witness a day-in-the-life as our singers beautifully portray a full day’s journey, beginning with the sunrise and concluding under the stars.
It’s not always easy being a kid, as our singers will tell you with selections from Broadway favorites, including Annie, Oliver!, Newsies and Matilda. Broadway lovers will also be thrilled by a mesmerizing Wicked medley, highlighting hits from the first act of the beloved musical and its highly anticipated film adaptation. Continue your musical journey with a collection of Rodgers and Hammerstein, showcasing golden-age classics from The Sound of Music, Oklahoma! and Carousel.
Music lovers of all generations will sway to the upbeat rhythms of the 70s, featuring iconic hits like “Stayin’ Alive,” “Lean on Me” and “Disco Inferno.” And for fans of ABBA, selections from Mamma Mia will have everyone singing along to “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me” and many more! The evening builds to an electrifying grand finale with “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray, ensuring the audience leaves dancing from their seats.

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus (PCC) is a non-profit, community-based arts education program which uses music and performance to inspire and nurture a new generation of young leaders. Serving over 300 young musicians from over 60 schools across Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama, PCC uses music education to provide opportunities for personal growth, friendship, and community service.
